- Abstract
- The Significant Wave Height (90th percentile) was estimated from satellite data (CMEMS, MEDSEA_HINDCAST_WAVES_006_012) and mapped in order to be used as criterion within the Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation process for the aquaculture suitability evaluation.

- Supplemental Information
- The Significant Wave Height (SWH) dataset produced by Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS), at a spatial resolution of 4km2 (MEDSEA_HINDCAST_WAVES_006_012), for the Adriatic Greek area was downloaded. The dataset was remapped at the same extent and spatial resolution of the SST dataset used for the SMCE process for the estimation of the aquaculture suitability. Hourly data, from 2016 to 2017, were used to estimate the 90th percentile for the SWH, computed for each grid point of the SMCE domain. The Significant Wave Height criterion, within Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation process for the aquaculture suitability evaluation, represent an indicator of farm exposure to storm events.
